It's International Volunteer Appreciation Week, and we can't tell you enough how much we love our volunteers. This is another year of wishing we could celebrate them differently, but we know being apart is the best choice right now. Our volunteers accumulate enough hours to equal having 16 full time staff every single day. You would not get to shop here without them, because we wouldn't exist. We couldn't even keep the lights on without these people. Their life stories are vast and interesting, their skills are awesome and inspiring, and their families from all over the world. We say "good morning" and "amen" in several languages. This community is a taste of heaven. Thank you is not enough to offer to the people who make up this mosaic. The need for food is growing in our city as people in our neighborhoods have lost jobs and livelihoods due to the pandemic. Please bring non expired items to our collection box between November 2nd and December 15th, and you will receive 10% off your purchase. We will also post the list of their most needed items as we get them. We love this city and we appreciate you as you partner with us in helping feed those in need!

One of our best loved partnerships is with an awesome online mattress company. When they have returns from their clients, we pick them up, make sure they are in pristine condition, repackage them, and sell them at a massive discount. We are grieving the loss of one of our beloved board members, Dick Nywening, who was also very active in the communities of London and Strathroy for many years of his full and vibrant life. He was a faithful and fervent child of God who has claimed his place in perfect eternity.
