The Youth Council Members are on the trip to Ottawa where they participated in the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development: Canada-Latvia Relations and Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights: Criminalization of Non-disclosure of HIV Status. They met with Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen, Minister of International Development and Minister for Women and Gender Equality Maryam Monsef, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance (Youth Economic Opportunity) Jennifer O'Connell, and Minister of Border Security and Organized Crime Reduction Bill Blair. They also met with MP Iqra Khalid. Thank you to MP Omar Alghabra and His team for making it successful and allowing youth to discuss the issues that matter to then the most!
