Now...kitten season has begun so before there are way too many coming all at once, let's chat about two very special babies. Well, not really babies any longer... as they are about 5 months. They came in with 3 strikes against them - they were born outside and had very little, if any, human interaction; they were almost 3 months old when they did come inside making them already positive that humans were going to eat them; and they are black. "Little house panthers". Gamble and Aurora may be actual siblings or at least cousins but they are family now so would love to stay together. Gamble is also known as "Mr Grumbles" as his first reaction is to growl and even sometimes hiss but once his tummy is full, he is ready for some play time and a wand toy pet. Aurora is also known as "Princess" because she enjoys being waited on, whether it is for food or by bringing the toys to her. They will need another one of those very special homes - one that is willing to be patient with them as they continue to learn how to enjoy life without fear. (LindaB) See more

**************HAPPY DAY! Minka has been adopted!!!! ***** Before more of the little ones get posted, let's talk about a very special adult, Minka. She came to ...the shelter because of a call from a nice family who worried she was lost. No one claimed her but during her stay it was noticed that there was something wrong with her leg. She stayed with Foster mom Sue while a treatment plan was being worked on but unfortunately there was too much damage and she was in pain. The surgery was only a couple of weeks ago and she's adjusted amazingly well. She's young, only about a year and a half, beautiful and has a lot of love and play to share. She does prefer to be the only animal in the household and would probably be best without small children. There's still some healing to do but she's so ready for a home of her own.
