Happy Saturday! . . . I finally completed the upcycled bistro set that I was given. It had broken tile and was a little dated, but Salt Wash, Debi’s DIY Paint products and NEW Iron Orchid Designs transfers and the Queen Bee mould with Air Dry clay allowed for this stunning transformation! I adore all of these products and thoroughly LOVE what I do! The great thing is that you can do it too! All products are available here @missyhaycollective at 199 Howard Street, Kimberley... BC. . With the extra Salt Wash I had mixed up, I covered an old window shutter to make the garden cafe sign, as well as a bunch of terra cotta plant pots and metal containers. The layers of texture and colour gave a vintage European look to everything and I stenciled the pots and sign with NEW garden/cafe and vintage crock numbers @oldsignstencils stencils. . The black salt wash base is dry and hardened, and the next step is to add salt wash to some bright colours and add layers. . I’m going with @debisdesigndiary DIY Paint in ‘Queen Bee,’ ‘Summer Crush’ and ‘Cherry Picked’ -all before I cover the entire set with a coat of ‘Sandy Blonde’...and then a realllllly good sand with the orbital sander . Happy Monday!! . . .... Let’s try doing a LIVE today!! Monday’s are my day. MHC is closed on Mondays and if I get my house tidied and caught up on the weekend (which I aim for every week, but don’t always succeed) then MONDAY is my FUN DAY! . . . So I’m aiming for getting more LIVE videos and tutorials out on these days that I’m playing.
