This volunteer, member-led organization is near and dear to our hearts at MJT! The Calgary Firefighters Toy Association was first launched in the 1940s when firefighters cleaned and repaired used toys to donate to underprivileged kids. ... For more than 50 years, Calgary firefighters have volunteered their time to keep this tradition alive for children who are less fortunate. Now, more than 1,700 families are invited to attend this very special Christmas party. They are treated to lunch, live entertainment, and an exciting visit from Santa Claus. All children under 12 receive a gift from Santa as well as a bag of seasonal treats. To help support this AMAZING initiative, we have put out a box for toy donations in our office!
