In light of recent events, it looks like there will be another closure. Because Osteopathy is not a regulated practice, Osteopathic Manual Practitioners like myself will have to close until further notice. Other healthcare professionals are aloud to stay open throughout the lockdown, and as a result our association is fighting hard with the government for us to stay open with them, so that our patients can continue receiving Osteopathy throughout. I am pleased to announce that I am an official graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. I will now start my career as a fully licensed Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association! This means that if your insurance plan covers Osteopathy, the treatment you receive from me will be covered. For those who are unaware of what Osteopathy is; it is a holistic approach of manual therapy that works with the body. The aim is to restore th...e body's functionality by realigning structures and improving tissue mobility. By accomplishing proper alignment the body is setup for optimal neural and blood supply, as well as adequate drainage from structures which leads to an overall improvement in functionality of the body.
