Mitton Manual Therapy 25.05.2021

In light of recent events, it looks like there will be another closure. Because Osteopathy is not a regulated practice, Osteopathic Manual Practitioners like myself will have to close until further notice. Other healthcare professionals are aloud to stay open throughout the lockdown, and as a result our association is fighting hard with the government for us to stay open with them, so that our patients can continue receiving Osteopathy throughout. I ask that you complete the survey and share so that we can stay open and help you feel better! Thanks and Happy Holidays! https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSfiz1zS5wYxPwFpy/viewform

I am pleased to announce that I am an official graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. I will now start my career as a fully licensed Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association! This means that if your insurance plan covers Osteopathy, the treatment you receive from me will be covered. For those who are unaware of what Osteopathy is; it is a holistic approach of manual therapy that works with the body. The aim is to restore th...e body's functionality by realigning structures and improving tissue mobility. By accomplishing proper alignment the body is setup for optimal neural and blood supply, as well as adequate drainage from structures which leads to an overall improvement in functionality of the body. Osteopathy is not just limited to bone or the musculoskeletal system but can help for a variety of symptoms and conditions! As well, a referral is not needed in most cases. If this something you have any interests in or any questions about Osteopathy, feel free to send me a message! Otherwise stay tuned for a post on booking! See more

Manipulative Manual Therapy is a hands-on approach that focuses on increasing mobility and stability by restoring proper body mechanics by working on the individual’s anatomical framework. We look to remove any and all obstacles that will interfere with one’s health/nutrition by using various forms of gentle pressure, stretching and resistance. It follows the theory that imbalances in the human structure contribute to or are directly related to the development and/or maintenance of disease.
