To all my Mizz Hair clientele I have been receiving many voicemails and texts regarding when I can provide services again and if people can get in line for the first available appointments; as great as it is to be missed this can also be very overwhelming. I would like to begin by saying that since March break it has been very difficult for me and for my family, as I am sure you can imagine. I run my business from home, at some point or another you have seen my children, m...y fiancé and my dog. My business is my sole source of income so believe me when I tell you I also would love nothing more than to get back to work. The government is slowly opening up businesses, while I anticipate that salons will be allowed to open in the near future I would like you all to keep in mind that my Salon is in my home; therefore without knowing what types of safety measures the government recommends I will also need to tweak it to protect myself, and especially my children. 1. I kindly ask that you refrain from contacting me to book appointments in advance. Believe me when I tell you that you are not the only one who wants an appointment and in the interest of fairness, I cannot pick favourites. When I am able to reopen, I promise I will be the first to let you know and at that time appointments will be made on a first come first serve basis. 2. This time at home has given me time to reflect that I need to keep business and personal separate. With schools being one of the last places to open I ask that you call or text for your appointments during business hours only. I need to keep evenings for schoolwork and mom duties. If you contact me after hours I will return your calls and messages on a first come first serve basis first thing the next business day. 3. Only 1 person will be permitted at a time per appointment. No exceptions. This means you cannot bring your children, siblings, spouses, pets or your best friend Karen. Between appointments there will be blank slots which will give me time to disinfect my entire workstation before the next client comes in. 4. I will be providing a sanitization station at the entrance; use of sanitization gel and masks are mandatory. No gel, no mask, no service. I appreciate those of you who have remained loyal to me as clients over the years. I understand that with these uncertain times some of you have taken to trying to colour your own hair, maybe some of you have even tried to cut it. That’s ok. I promise to do everything in my hairdresser powers to fix it. If you decide to take a different path until I am able to run the Salon at 100% capacity and services, I understand that as well.
