Floating shelves ... My house continues to be a never ending experiment. The first few pictures are from my home, the others a blend of client projects and Pinterest posts. First I would suggest buying 4ft or longer floating shelves. ... Pricing and quality differ dramatically. If your not going with black or white check the return policy as any other colour may disappoint. I had an opportunity with Mixtiles an online company specializing in producing pictures on square foam with adhesive stickers that can be used to adhere to any surface. Mixtiles offered to discount product so I would order from them and potentially promote their product. Mixtiles was easy, fast and I found the concept appealing and the quality was better then expected. I gave feedback to Mixtiles that having one standard size and only offering full colour limited their products use. The tiles sell to customers for $6 a tile so it was not a lose and we enjoyed interchanging pictures. I am not a fan off using frames with glass as these shelves do little to secure the frames and having glass in creates a glare. These days picture sizes can easily be altered, photos can be printed on thicker matte photo paper and put into frames with the glass removed.

Pre-teen bedroom I recently had some fun selecting furniture for a client’s pre-teen daughter. Daybeds have come along way and the trundle option is ideal for sleep overs.... We went with a navy blue daybed, a curtain canopy, a picture or mirror (tbd) along with some fun bright pillows. Pictures to come once complete.
