So happy to rep[ort that Matador is almost all healed up, just a bit of skin left to regrow! Vet said we could let him out to the field, he trotted almost the whole 2 km to get there, he was so HAPPY to be going back out to the grass. He looks so good, no limp. No signs at all that he has a 13 inch stick stick in his leg for 3 weeks!

Cold hosing with wet lower mainland weather seems kinda redundant... and is not very fun! Matador's trip to the coast with me for treatment is not too enjoyable right now. This is the first time he has actually threatened to lift a hoof when i was cleaning it, though mostly he just tucked bum and moved away he certainly was NOT impressed with me. but he did like the huge hay pile and freshened up bed when i was done.

My poor Matty "Matador" needs to go in for some surgery to remove a stick from his thigh. We will have a big vet bill, over $2000 so I am selling my horse toque...s ($35 crochet, $45 knit) from #Crownedjewelscustom with the optional matching toque for their human ($25 crochet $35 knit). $5 of all profits will go to freedom's gate, and the rest will go towards Mattie's surgery. I can do custom colors but will be trying to keep costs down by using wool/yarn I already have in stock. A side note all other sales from crowned jewels will also go towards Matty''s surgery and vet costs https://m.facebook.com/CrownedJewelsCustom/?ref=bookmarks See more

PEAS! For those who know me you will understand what a big deal this is from me. I and great with animals.. but plants die just by seeing me coming.. lol. This is my first real harvest since we moved here in 2017. all my other gardens died, dried up or where eaten by the 4 foots.

Blessed to be in the only area in kamloops not affected by fires. But we wont hog.. if you need somewhere to go you can camp here, no power but we have water, some space for livestock and other animals. KIDS alway welcome! We have 42 acers but not much fencing so if you have panels or can donate panels we can put your animals somewhere :)

so K wanted to show our support to the indigenous people who where walking the spirits home along our road from the residential school in kamloops to the Adams lake reservation (who had plans and could not be down there to see the drumming or stand for them) so he percurred Ivan and Mattie's help. They have been cleaning up our neighbors front field and can be seem from the road. They didn't seem to mind helping us out.

We have a little solo hatched turkey chick. They are super social and she cries any time she is left alone.. but we have found a solution.... big warm winter ski socks make a perfect fake mom..lol. Don't worry we don't leave her in it unsupervised.

This is why we do what we do, so kids can have moments like this!

Was not able to get home in time for their afternoon bottles today... so the lambs came for a fieldtrip. They are enjoying some grass at TCC while K is at OT

And last but not least Missy Clover... we had a bit of a rough start with her and the bottle, but she seems to have caught on now so she should start putting on some weight.
