Milton Minor Ball Hockey League

Hello Everyone, Quick update - we are working with the town on time and space, and in the next week we will be opening up the site for registration: It will be slightly different this year - new registrant will be asked to simply commit to the small amount of space we will have for players. We are looking at at setup where we have no more than 4 teams of 12 for each age division. Of course, as for a start date: be on your toes. Unlike other sports, there are no skills development or practice time - we are strictly games, and they are forbidden until we hit orange, so we are completely under the thumb of the provincial governments system until we hit orange.

Hello everyone, As we work our way through these unprecedented times, we would like to reassure you we have not forgotten about the upcoming season. It is still our intention to hold a ball hockey season in 2021, though what shape, form and time that will take place depends greatly (really, entirely) on the regulations handed down to us from the government and the availability of the facilities. As of yet, none of the information we require to make any decisions is availabl...e to us. For those people who held on to their registrations from 2020, we’re looking still to have this season ready for you as soon as we can, and we are optimistic about the possibilities this summer. But if the worst occurs and no possible 2021 season can happen your registration fees will be returned to you. We’d like to thank you for all your patience, Mike & Jim MMBHL

MMBHL Update, May 5th - Season Cancelled Hello Everyone, We hope this finds you and your family well & healthy.... It has unfortunately reached the point where we will not be able to offer a ball hockey season in 2020. On Friday the town announced an extension of facility closures to July 5th, which means we wouldn't be able to start the season till July 12th. With the ice typically put back in the arenas mid-late August that would only leave us a 4-6 week window to play. On top of that there will almost assuredly be some sort of restrictions when facilities first reopen further inhibiting our ability to run the program. As we are extremely disappointed at not being able to move forward with the 12th season of MMBHL we also understand the need to make sure we do our part to help keep the community safe as we battle through this difficult time. In preparation for the upcoming season, as we do every year, we purchased and paid for uniforms and year end awards. These prepaid expenses are quite costly & unfortunately put us in a spot where we can't refund everyone's registration, as we are a non-profit organization and our only source of revenue is our members registration & a few sponsors. We understand given the economic climate we are in due to the covid crisis that a refund will help some families manage their day-to-day finances and if that is what you wish we will do our best to accommodate. We also recognize many of your children are long-time players in the league and are likely to be back next year when the crisis has averted. So we are offering two options. 1 - If you are willing to keep your registration in the form of a CREDIT towards next season this will help the league manage the programs finances/expenses as previously mentioned. We will find some way to reward the kids and parents who show their patience in this regard. If you wish to choose this option, you need not do anything. We can’t wait to see you next year. 2 - You may apply for a full refund (refunds will be a returned on the payment form used no e-transfers). The Benders are long-time friends of the MMBHL - if you haven't heard, they just lost their home in a fire. Times just got even tougher for them

Hi All, With the facilities closed on the 5th, the MMBHL will instead start on April 19th. We are working on a way to get back the missed weekend, which will mean an extra Saturday sometime later in the season.
