Like Share & Follow us on our new Facebook page! Why a new page you ask? Don’t we already have a Facebook page with lots of connections? ... The answer is YES, yes we do, BUT our old page must be phased out due to unresolvable technical issues that @facebook hasn’t yet been able to help us fix. So, we need you to help us out by spreading the news, far and wide, in order to help us grow (and retain!) our followers. Link in bio! https://m.facebook.com/mmfcfvr/

In light of the serious allegations of sexual violence against students, perpetrated by a UNB employee at the Student Health Centre on the UNB Fredericton campus, the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research asserts that is has and will continue to stand with survivors. We urge all survivors of sexual violence to reach out for support. You are not alone. We are deeply conscious of the fact that these are not new conversations we took part in the comprehe...nsive review of UNB’s sexual assault policies and procedures and continue to communicate with our Campus Sexual Assault Support Advocates. These allegations serve as a stark reminder of the importance of understanding and responding appropriately to violence in the workplace when it happens; sexual violence occurs within our institutions and we must know how to protect and effectively support survivors. The MMFC Sexual Violence research team has dedicated itself to increasing our collective understanding of the complex needs of victims/survivors, and its Violence and Abuse in the Workplace research team has consistently raised awareness about the need for robust and fair complaint investigations. The MMFC remains resolute in its commitment to being part of the solution to sexual violence in New Brunswick and right here at UNB.
