A Kamloops mom is sharing her story and her grief after her son overdosed last month. Troylana Manson's son Aaron died of an accidental drug overdose on April 2...6th His family and friends are still dealing with the incredible loss, but Manson says she knew she couldn’t stay silent about his death. She says he was a talented and introspective young man and believes that the stigma and shame around drug use is the reason so many die alone. She wants people to talk more openly about addiction and treatment options Aaron would have been 27 in September. A support group in Kamloops aimed at helping dads now has its own physical office. Modern Man Family Project has been meeting for years in a church basement and... has now just opened an office downtown. The group’s aim is to be a local resource for men and fathers so they can be the best they can be for their kids and community. Dante Tomada and Michael Ash are dads and founders of the Modern Man Family Project Society. On April 26 at12noon another man became a statistic. This man had a family that loved him and tried to help him. He wasn't homeless or a street person he was young man going to university to better his life.but unfortunately our society looks at him as a man as just that a statistic. Not a human being but as a form of tax exploitation for society.he is only useful if he produces....people like aaron are all over the place.most homeless are MEN. Most overdoses are done by MEN.... Most suicides are by MEN. All of this starts when men are boys. We as a society need to start helping these boys and men out . More program and goverment funding for mental health .we as mmfp have been screaming this for years but no one listens ....Women please help us help as many men as we can WE NEED YOUR HELP. Today I'm memory of that lost man or boy hold him hug him tell him he is worth living for. Hive him a reason to carry on and strive for greatness. Society needs great men. "Jumping the narc" is a term I just made up, so don't bother Googling it. I did before making the meme and couldn't find any record of it three pages into the search results. Jumping the Narc is my attempt at a humorous spin on the #TippingPoint in an abusive relationship. The tipping point is when you admit to yourself just how bad things are. It's when you at last admit that your partner is likely a #narcissist or #borderline.
