For the past few days I’ve been playing with the leftovers from the #moonwakequilt Since the original cuts were all on bias, my scraps were too. So I dug out my Wondercut ruler and cut strips, sewed tubes and cut HST units. I know have 90 pinwheel blocks and this wee little unit that makes me happy. Zero scraps left ! Which also makes me happy.

Noreen made 5 Christmas quilts this year for gifting. They all got different freemotion quilting. More photos and info on my blog.

I guess @quiltkat wasn’t tired of flying geese when she finished her Geesey Geese quilt, as she then made this one from her curated scraps. Leaves in the geese (slightly different to he first one) and ribbon candy in the alternate units. She used a Bryan house tutorial to make the Giant geese on the backing, where the quilting shows nicely.

Unity is done and on my bed. Hopefully I can get more and better photos soon. The light was gone by the time I got the binding done today. It might spend a lot of time with back side up I love the texture. #unityquiltalong #quiltvillemystery #innovalongarm

This is @vickiplusfive #patchworkcityquilt @elizabethagh quilt in the Metro layout. I had such fun quilting this with a design from one of @angelafmq books. It was fun to recognize fabrics from many of Vicki’s previous quilts

I’m not going to tag anyone because I’m not sure it’s been gifted yet it’s a baby quilt made by my customers. Aren’t the animals darling? I used a flower in the print as inspiration for the Freemotion quilting #innovalongarm

@quiltkat made this quilt from Orphan blocks, an appliqué designed by Di Ford and inspiration from an antique quilt. She asked for edge to edge feathers, and I think it turned out really lovely. Sometimes people are reluctant to quilt overtop of appliqué, but not very quilt can have custom treatment and E2E can work very well over appliqué. #innovalongarm

This is @quiltkats Lady of the Lake quilt. She wanted continuous curves in the dark triangles and a feather border. I just love how Katherine pulls together fabrics.

@marilyngblair made this 4 patch charm quilt. Aren’t the colors fabulous against the dark background. When I made this quilt I used @tamarackshack1 tutorial you can check out on her blog. Marilyn asked for edge to edge freehand feathers which was a great choice on this quit.

@quiltkat Mariner Compass quilt is on the blog today. Inspired by a circa 1840 quilt in the Pilgrim/Roy collection Katherine saw at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. My goal was to emphasize the circles formed by the compasses and feathers !!

I also got #candydishquilt pillow A cut out. Hopefully will get it pieced sometime this week. #journey2nebula

Finished piecing #rockcandyquilt today. It was nice to have some sewing time. I followed the tips and hang pinned and then basted the Center. It went together beautifully. #journey2nebula

Freehand edge to edge flowers on this pineapple quilt for Deborah. I’m so lucky I get to play with so many different quilts far more than I could ever piece.
