What exactly is a NEUTRAL SPINE? Do you maintain a fully neutral spine and pelvis when doing squats or do you drop your head, round your tailbone under and flex... slightly as you go deeper? You have helped me navigate this crazy last year and for that I thank you I am blessed to have an incredibly supportive husband and two amazi...ng children. The kiddos have grown so much in the last crazy year. Discovering what really truly matters to them. Yes, it’s been a difficult year for many, hopefully through it all you have discovered a few things about yourself. My whole crew has and I am very thankful for that. Trev and Zane have discovered their mutual love in horsemanship, roping, and riding. . My Ayla has returned back to her long walks, reading, sewing, and her green thumb I spent time this morning honouring my body, spirit, and mind. I simply listened to my body and mind.I played in my garden then flowed on my reformer. For me - this is my solitude, my release from this crazy world. Moving forward, onward, upward. I love working abdominals but obliques are truly my fav! What is your favourite muscle area to work? No bosu, use a large rolled up pillow, a bender ball, or spine corrector. You might need an anchor point on the feet. Bring your top rib towards your side of the pelvis for flexion of the top yet extension of the bottom muscles all involved! Full ROM . Using the stability ball for basic mat exercises adds a little instability to the exercise. Knowing how to stabilize the shoulder placement and then alignment of the spine is key. Extension or heart openers are difficult ... why... opening our heart to the world makes us feel vulnerable. We stay forward and closed off much more then we open. I love this exercise. It really tests your balance of control and strength on each side of the body. The rib hip core connection is key . Turn the volume up for cues. Start small with your offset of the legs and get larger as you gain control remember at the bottom - hundreds position should basically be achieved. What here your mot crocked! . Home gym options! Yup - things are possibly closing again, and winter is coming so it’s harder to get outside for a workout This is a great one for leg stability, arms and shoulders and abs. Just need a band attached to an anchor point and you have a full workout with resistance. Bands can be tricky. Remember to control the concentric and eccentric movement. Don’t let the band bounce you around. Always remember to breath. I’m doing 3 sets of 15 and alternating sides.... This was my last set and you an area great little quiver in the band You can purchase these type of bands at Fitness Depot, on line from @oudort_fans fitness and many other places! Taking a mini break from Reno’s!! COVID WHAT A JOURNEY....you closed my larger studio, my life and classes went on ZOOM, slowly opened to privates, then groups of two and three. Now we are excited to expand our home studio to offer groups of 4. Tear down is in process! The new space will be ready second week in November all things go as planned. Quite a few things to do. The changes in studio will allow us for a fully have self sufficient station per client. We... have that already but sadly I don’t have all my equipment back in. This extra space allows for that . Each client will have everything they need right at their station. Chair, spine corrector, reformer and box, conversion mat, and all the mini toys! Your own personal hook for your belongings as well. This is our new reality and I am not the type of person to wait till things get back to normal.
