For those of you that have made appointments for the next week: I just received an email that a few items where back ordered. I need surgical grade masks and Nitrile gloves. All othe obligations have been met.... My supplier usually ships same day and we get the next. We ordered all our PPE back in May. We Did not want this to happen, yet here we are. I know that it may be expected by some, to have delays, but 3 weeks.... If you have an appointment coming up, we will be letting you know the night before if we have to reschedule... Thank you everyone for all the patience and prayers over the last couple months. We are getting things ready. We have an email with all the details being prepared for release this week. We just want people to understand that the spread of COVID-19 is still active and that we are still in a State of Emergency until June 9th.... The CMTO has allowed for services to gradually restart, but at a controlled and VERY stringently monitored and Sanitized manner. Watch for our email with all the details. While we wait for the government to announce a return to non-emergency/non-urgent care by Ontario’s healthcare professionals, the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) is working collaboratively with other health regulators, the government and the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario (RMTAO) on how Massage Therapists (RMTs/MTs) can safely return to practice. In consultation with these partners, CMTO is deve...loping guidelines for the practice environment, that may include requirements such as pre-appointment screening and heightened infection control and sanitation practices, including the requirement to use personal protective equipment (PPE), for example, masks and gloves. Please know that CMTO is working diligently to prepare guidance so RMTs will be able to provide safe, effective and ethical healthcare, as soon as government orders are lifted.
