There are nine (9) new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today in Moose Factory Island for a total of fourteen (14) active cases. The number of active cases in Moosonee has increased to forty-five (45).

To our community members: We can confirm that there are three new COVID-19 cases in our region. WAHA has received authorization from the leadership of the Munic...ipality of Moosonee to state that these new cases are in Moosonee, Ontario. WAHA is working with Porcupine Health Unit to ensure that the individuals are isolated, and that the contact tracing investigation is ongoing. The new regional case count is seventy-one, forty-five in Moosonee, twenty in Fort Albany, five in Moose Factory, and one in Attawapiskat. Together, let's look after our loved ones by washing your hands, wearing a mask, and practicing physical distancing. The Moose Factory Public Health continues contact tracing. If you have not been contacted, it is unlikely that you have been in close contact with the individuals with the confirmed cases.
