So I have shared this picture in the past but it is so relevant to our hair industry today. This is an excellent example of stages a stylist must get thru in order to achieve icy, cool, grey and transparent blonde looks. This particular process was done over the course of 8 weeks in order to maintain the integrity of previously colored hair. ( note that only professional color was used for her dark. Even tho there doesnt seen to be much of a difference you can definatly tell the color has faded. These two pictures were taken a week apart with only the use of head and shoulders shampoo. In this case it was used to lift surface pigment so when the stylist went in to do a first set of foils, the process was made a little easier by having less pigment for the lightner to eat thru.
