Every time I go through old photos, I can't help but breathe new life into them and give them a fresh edit. This photo has probably had half a dozen different versions, but I'm most stoked with this one. The yearning to revamp this series again this year is real. Hoping restrictions fuck off early enough in the summer where I can photograph people again.... DM me if you want to take part in this series! Stay gold, friends.

Just like last year, this spring will consist of solo adventures finding waterfalls. This lockdown is a lil different with a surge of spoke, and travel restrictions, but hopefully I'll be able to explore more than just the municipality before summer starts!

No fancy caption, just posting a carousel to appease the algorithm gods. More from my city venture the other day.

Over the weekend, I want for a jaunt around the city. Heavily inspired by @nickhudsonphoto, I just wanted to get out and really focus on something different. As I stood at the bottom of Sackville Street, I thought, "I'd be fucking DOPE if somebody walked along Hollis Street right now." No more than a minute later these fine folks decided to cross 3 different streets at the exact same time.... Patience comes with all genres of photography. More times than not, waiting those couple extra seconds or minutes, will usually pay off big time.

Welp, I can't help but express my disappointment with the impending lockdown starting tomorrow. Like the rest of my fellow photographers, I'm bummed that my art and passion is impacted because of the lockdown, but I understand. The world is a scary place, and doesn't seem to be getting any better.... Everywhere you turn, "covid this", "pandemic that" its near impossible to browse the web or have a conversation without the C-Word popping up. I used to get so annoyed at the fact that so many people use Social Media as a highlight reel, and as weird as it is to say, I miss that. This platform has become a list of numbers that only seem to be going up. People angry at others, and people angry at those who are angry. Here's to NS, Canada, North America and the rest of the world getting their shit together sooner rather than later and we can all put this awful pandemic behind us.

Just a few more rainy day street photos with an unoriginal caption.

Last week I posted about how I was so stoked on improving the composition of this waterfall. Truth is, there was two I was equally stoked on. After following the rive to the lake, and coming back, I noticed the the falls sit near perfect between two trees. This was something I hadn't noticed before. Shooting with an unconventional lens, this was composition number two that i couldn't wait to get home and edit.... With the new travel restrictions, I'm hoping to get out and reshoot local falls around HRM in hopsles of improving the composition of each one. Stay gold, Insta-fam

I haven't shot very many portraits this year. As much as I want to say it's because I've been out shooting other things, but if I'm being honest, my depression has killed my creativity. I've seen so many dope photos from so many local artists, and the g always inspire me to go out and try new things. A few weeks back, on nasty, rainy day. I ran up and down Portland snapping pictures of whatever/whoever I could.... Street photography makes me mega anxious, because there's a part of me that feels so incredibly awkward for taking candid photos of other people.

2021 started with a positivity and determination to make this a better year than last. I started the new year with a few self care items and routines that made me feel more productive with my time and lifestyle and was feeling good about myself. Then out of nowhere, a two week bout of what's been the worst mental health I've had in the last 5 or 6 years. I feel like the fact that I no longer remembered what it felt like scared me that much more. 2 weeks of constant mind/body ...disconnect, fear and racing thoughts, exhausting is an understatement. Yesterday, I saw my therapist, and I'm beyond grateful for such a productive, healing session. I'm starting to feel like myself again. Time to get back into my routine in trying to stay as productive as possible. This is my friendly reminder, that those who are closest to you may be struggling with issues nobody knows about, please be kind to everybody. Stay gold, IG fam. And thank you for all the non-portrait love lately.

It's been roughly a year since the pandemic has made its way into the news, and we're coming up on the final weeks of D*****d T***p's presidency. The relevance this to things have in regards to this post is; Division. There are some people out there with wild and dangerous theories about the legitimacy about the pandemic. I don't need to get into why these people are dangerous, we all know. @phillydefranco nailed it by saying that T***p is a virus. A virus that has infected f...ar too many people in the last 4 years, and a virus that has resulted in the stark division of humanity that we've seen recently. You'd think, that after 2021 years (longer even) we'd learn that human beings are just that, we are all the same, and NOBODY is above one another. "United we stand, divided we fall" comes from Aesop, the Greek storyteller. Maybe it's time we listen to the guy.

This car has been sitting in between a couple of trees for the better part of two weeks. I drive by it every day on my way to and from work. I knew it had to be photographed. Each day, I'd always forget to bring my camera, and the one day that I remembered, my camera battery was dead. I had some errands to run, over the weekend, so I decided the best time to go out, was after the snow had started coming down. On my way home I pulled over, and photographed this ole beauty with a light blanket of snow covering 'er, and I don't think there could have been a better setting. Funny how the universe lines things up for you.
