Drop your luggage at the door!

What do you notice? I took this picture this morning of a flowering plant in my yard. On the left side there are buds becoming flowers & on the right-hand side, not much going on. Why? The right side is facing North, Left side of this image is facing South. I am standing on the East side of that plant in my office. The point being, the Sun arrives on this side of my home in the late afternoon as it passes from East to West. The side of this plant getting the buds and flowers... first- well it is getting all the Sun! Wow. Big deal you say. Well, this is just a metaphor for your mind. You can feed it the constant barrage of, tv commercials, useless internet information, Facebook viral videos, Tik Tok's or bathe it in knowledge and wisdom from books, immersive courses, and coaches. The latter gives rise to your "flowers" much earlier, more easily, and with less stress than not. What are you doing to embrace and drive change in your life? Leave a comment below. See more

There will always be people who tell you that your dreams are not important or possible. Your opinion is the one that counts. Remember: " they don't build statues of critics" (Dean Graziosi)

Perspective. Do you have any? As a clinician or student your focus becomes extremely narrowed through years of training and practice. It's been beaten into your subconscious. Now it's Time to breathe.

We live in an utterly overstimulating world. Sleep is not just for beauty, it's an essential part of being a functioning human. Create a nighttime routine to allow you to be your very best during the next day...late night binging on Netflix is not a solution! Wind down music, a warm bath, a cup of calming caffeine-free tea, reading, meditation, or just journaling the best parts of your day may help get you started. Those working the "graveyard" shift actually seem to have shorter life spans. Hence the name. Take a look at just one study investigating Nurses and chronic diseases: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4289641/
