As promised, here is part two of my 2021 curb appeal series. Today lets get into one of my favorite tricks: Accessories! The amount of accessorizing you can do really depends on the size/shape of your entryway, but even small porches can have a significant glow-up with a few small touches! Here are just a few ideas, starting small and working our way up:... Welcome Matspick a size that fits width-wise with the design of your door frame. Single door? Standard size is likely fine! Have a side-window or two? Go with a larger mat! House NumbersThis one upgrade/update all houses can use! There are so many options out there, you can always find ones that fit your style! Potted PlantsSmall porch? Go with a hanging pot if there a no space on the ground. Larger deck? Try one or two larger plants either grouped in a corner, or flank the door with matching (small) potted trees! FurnitureThis one is usually reserved for larger spaces, but sometimes a chair or small bench fits and can make all the difference! Have a larger deck? Think about adding a loveseat and coffee table! It makes for a beautiful morning coffee space and, when it’s safe to do so, a lovely spot to sit with friends! That’s it for today! Well we have had our first full week of covid LOCKDOWN round 2 in the Annapolis Valley and on to week two; how am I feeling about it? See picture below (above)... For someone who is a self proclaimed social butterfly I feel like a caged bird; this isn’t easy and although I am trying hard to find the joy in a slower pace (wait is this slower...did I not just take on the role of headmistress in the online learning realm) and remind myself of all the wonderful things that still ...surround me, but some days are just plain hard! So I am here to tell you if you are feeling like 2007 Brittany lately, you are not alone (someone hide the clippers) Working has been interesting, challenging, emotional but always rewarding as I help buyers and sellers navigate through these virtual times. As always I strive to provide the ABSOLUTE best service to my clients and although we can’t meet in person I hope my ever entertaining virtual showings are still keeping you smiling through this process of virtual buying. You really should be buying a home just to catch a glimpse of my commentary through these showings; but in all seriousness I am just so grateful that my clients put their trust in me and continue to allow me to do what I am so passionate about. So grab yourself your fav bubbly (liquor stores are still ALIVE and well), run a hot bath and remember that this too shall pass.
