I feel like some already need this subtle reminder one week in (myself included). Be kind to your body and your mind. Do something for yourself everyday. Some things to try? Go for a walk, do a quick yoga class, take a bath, do some deep breathing exercises, eat a big healthy salad, put yourself to bed early, put your phone away, get adjusted. 2021 Wow! Whatttt a year! It somehow seemed like the longest and shortest year ever. So much happened and changed. We travelled less, visited less and hugged our loved ones less. But we also grew tremendously, did our very best and persevered through a time when the entire world was hurting collectively. We can’t forget it entirely as much as we’d like to. We can’t change how our birthdays, weddings or Christmas’ were supposed to go but we can change how we carry on... in 2021. More optimism, more kindness and more patience. That’s the way to continue pushing on and doing what we have to do to adapt to changing times. A few things I missed the most in 2020 are the gift of travel, the ability to hug people and concerts. But imagine how insanely special our first vacation, concert, long bear hug and large celebration will be? Bring. It. On. For me, 2020 gave me a sweet son , some time off to chill that I would have never taken otherwise and a practice of amazing patients to keep me busy. This is what made 2020 awesome - the silver lining. So here we go, onto bigger and better! So long 2020, what’s upppp 2021! Happy New Year friends, family and patients of MH!
