Hey Friends, I wanted to remind you all that this is a great time of year to cut your gardens back because it's still nice out and so you're more likely to enjoy the task. It can be difficult to know which plants to cut back and which ones to leave over the winter. Check out the link below to get some guidance. ... The picture shown here is at a job we recently did for our client Joanna Dales. As you can see, the garden looks much more landscaped and the majority of the work we did was around preparing it for the winter. We cut back any plants that needed it, pruned the plants we were leaving for the winter and re-mulched. It's still a great time to plant hardy shrubs and perennials! My soul was fed this morning as I got to shop these plants for the next garden installation. Plants going in are at the front of the photo and they include a catalpa tree for some privacy, little lime hydrangeas, Astilbe, rudbekia and an Iris. It's also a good time to plant bulbs while it's nice out and you can enjoy the activity. Happy Thanksgiving friends! Xo

Extremely happy with how today's transformation turned out. We took up the overgrown fountain grass and split it in two. We also removed all the hostas because our client simply doesn't like them. Enhanced the shape of the garden and filled it with lots of beauty that will give them year-round colour as well as interest through heights and variations in foliage types. ... This garden will be the best on the block next year as everything fills in. All-star Plant lineup includes: Siberian Iris Rudbekia Peony Aster Hydrangea Sedum We'll be back next year to clean up after the winter and to plant some annuals throughout which will give her lots of additional and vibrant, beautiful colour.
