To all my valued patrons As we all have learned of the easing of some CODE RED restrictions and learn of salon reopenings, I am thrilled and excited to see eveyone again. I kindly ask for your patients and understanding with me. 10 weeks has been a long time for eveyone and I will be doing my very best to accommodate everyone as efficiently as I can.... We get the information the same time as you do. It will take time and several days to contact everyone and to prepare for the new guidelines capacity restrictions. Many of you had canceled appointments and on a wait list from November, December and January. I will be doing my best to reschedule those canceled appointments first. I can't wait to see you all again

Hello Minnedosa and surrounding areas As many of you have been aware, Modern Looks had to close due to flooding of business. Not only once but a few times, due to high water levels and rain. Awaiting approval for my temporary set up as well as several other set backs other than dealing with the flooding, unfortunately made it difficult to reopen sooner. I sincerely apologize to all who had appointments that had to be canceled and for the delay in reopening. I also would li...ke to apologize if I wasnt able to contact everyone personally or as quickly, to notify you about canceled appointments. I would like to thank each and every one of you for your patience, understanding, kind words, many kinds of help and support throughout this difficult and challenging time. Many people in Minnedosa and surrounding areas have gravely been affected as well as many of my fellow business friends. My heart goes out to you all. I will be contacting clients who had canceled appointments to reschedule as soon as possible. Clients who do have pre scheduled appointments in August will be able to keep them as is. I Kindly ask for your continued patience with me as I rebook everyone as soon as possible. Your health and safety are my upmost importance. Guidelines for COVID 19 will remain in place. Masks will be provided or you may bring your own. Masks are not mandatory to wear, however they will be required to wear during close contact for long periods of time, at the shampoo sink, any waxing or brow shaping and tinting services. Staggering out appointments will continue as followed to allow proper cleaning and to help maintain social distancing in between clients. Things will be different for your next salon visits for the next few months during repairs and renovations, but the same great service will be provided. I look forward to seeing you all again. Hey dosa! We have been given the go ahead to start a Save the Library campaign which I have offered to share on my Youtube channel in hopes of reaching more pe...ople and hopefully increase donations. I would love to make it even bigger by live streaming the campaign over a number of days. The only kick is that I need 1000 subscribers on the channel to be allowed to stream live. Currently I am at 230, do you think we can get the other 770 by next week? It will help reach people world wide who can submit donations and get recognition through the live chat forum. Even if we can't reach that 1000, I will still be posting the campaign and donation links to help as much as possible!! I am with you. To the stylist fretting over bills and concerns for how #covid19 will affect us all in the upcoming months. I am with you. To the stylist who has to make due because the supply stores have closed but your salon hasn't yet. I am with you. To the stylist alone in their salon because co-renters and coworkers have taken leave. I am with you. To the stylist who stays extra late to ultra sanitize and resanitize just in case. I am with you. To the stylists who have empty slots from cancellations but still need to be there. I am with you. To the stylist working on side hussles. I am with you. We are in one of the oldest professions. Barber-Surgeons were real people y'all. Cosmetology has always been needed and wanted. Through depression eras to pandemics- there will always be a need for us. We don't just cut or color hair. We are the person people come to in crisis. We are the unofficial listeners and counslers to many. Because we work with people, not just hair. We are your friend, your "therapist", your trusted professional. When the pandemic finally comes to a head and we start to recover as a world population it will be vital for us to be there for the people. They will think they need a haircut but really they will need to decompress these events. We will hear similar stories over and over again. And each story from each person will effect us. We will carry that energy and transform it into something tangible. Something beautiful and wonderful and it will give people normalcy, comfort and hope. To my fellow shear sisters and brothers... take care of yourself now so you can take care of others later. I am with you. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay kind. -unknown
