Not everyone should receive a deep tissue massage. Some people simply enjoy the sensation of deeper pressure to their muscles and others prefer a more gentle touch. A massage is only effective when the person on the table is comfortable and relaxed. In every session, I always tell my clients to let me know at any point of the treatment if I need to adjust the pressure, no pain no gain sometimes doesnt really help you! I work with your tolerance, and please know that ever...yones recovery is different. Some may take more sessions than you, some wont. Communication is a big part of our treatment so it is very important that you let your therapist know if youre uncomfortable. The point of the massage is to help relax your muscles and reduce stress! We dont want to add more stress on your body! Being consistent with your treatments and home-care regimen will really help speed your recovery.
