You will have time to explore the fundamentals of your Vinyasa (Downdog flow, Chatarunga, and Updog), and be supported in playing with various arm balances and challenging poses from the Level 2 sequence. Jemima is a visiting instructor of MYC. We love when she comes home to PEI and teaches here. Last week she suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. We are holding her so close to our hearts and praying for a full recovery. If you are able to support her it is appreciated.

As we continue to adapt to new public health guidelines we are reminded of the power of community . We are so grateful to be able to practice in studio and see your wonderful faces each day. Thank you for your support always and especially now. As of this Friday we ask that you please wear a mask when you enter the building until you reach your mat at the designated mat markers. Remove your mask to practice and put it back on to leave the room. You may want to bring some...thing to place your mask in while you practice. Above all please do not come to the studio if you are not feeling well. Wash your hands often and create space for others to come and go. Let’s continue to create peace within ourselves and our community one sweaty yoga class at a time.

Ayurveda - Rest & Restore with Airlie. November 15th 2pm. Ayurveda teaches that we are a reflection of all that exists around us, and that as our external world changes, so do we. November on PEI is when we would naturally transition from the light, mobile nature of fall into the heavier, restful qualities of winter. However, society encourages us to go-go-go as we prepare for the holidays. The result: we round out the year feeling tired, frazzled, stressed and eating whatev...er is within reach. In this workshop we'll learn how to recognize the qualities of the elementsearth, water, fire, air and ether (space)within ourselves, and how to use that information to refine our self-care practices so we can move through this season feeling steady, rested and nourished. Together we’ll explore lifestyle recommendationsnutrition, exercise, yoga and daily routineto help us get through the holiday season with greater ease, and to settle into deep winter. We’ll finish the workshop with a short Yoga Nidra practice. Ayurveda comes from the two Sanskrit root words ayur, meaning life, and veda, meaning knowledge. Dina Tsouluhas (@dinatsouluhas) is an avid student and teacher who lists ‘learning’ as one of her favorite things to do. With an unwavering passion and innate curiosity about the human body, Dina completed her studies in Osteopathy, is a co-creator of the Modo Flow sequence and teacher training and is a co-owner of Modo Yoga Montreal, NDG, West Island, Halifax, Portland and Griffintown. Dina has the amazing ability to inspire each student to approach and appreciate their bo...dies in a whole new way, leading them to explore not just the physical, but also fundamental workings of each movement and breath in asana. Dina also founded and directs Junglekeepers (@junglekeepers)the not-for-profit organization we’re supporting through our virtual Karma classes this month.
