YELLOW TO ORANGE The Middlesex-London Region has been reclassified as Orange in the Provincial Reopening Framework. This takes effect Monday, December 7.... Thankfully, our studios are not deeply impacted by this change other than the new requirement of screening students registered for classes. As an added measure, when you arrive at the studio you will see a list of posted questions (see below). You must answer NO to all three in order to proceed to class. If you answer YES to just ONE of the questions, you must head back home to call your healthcare professional immediately for advice and guidance. Read the questions, answer them honestly and advise the teacher on duty of the results. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and your patience. Aura Carcueva has been teaching yoga for nearly 15 years. Over the years, she has taught in Trinidad and many studios in Toronto before she moved to Guelph, Ontario. Her love of movement first began at Simon Fraser University where she received her BFA in Theatre and Dance. The interdisciplinary program included other techniques such as Tai chi, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, Laban Analysis, Pilates, Voice and Yoga to name a few. You might see aspects of these techniques in Aura’s teaching. Aside from being a yoga teacher Aura is also a professional actor. She has performed on various stages and festivals in Toronto and Vancouver and she has also toured across North America and Europe with various theatre companies. Aura wears many hats. You can surely find her in a yoga or dance studio, on stage, on screen or simply hanging out with her family.

We’re feeling pretty darn thankful for the incredible people that make up our Modo family. And though we may not be as physically close this year, we are cl...oser than ever in our hearts and in our shared commitment to making this world a better place. And while we took time today to give thanks, we also took time to learn, to listen and to reflect. We learned about the history and culture of the ancient land on which we live and practice. We researched the issues directly affecting Indigenous populations in our local communities. We listened to Indigenous voices both online and in our community and we reflected on the ways we participate in society so that we can show up and do better. We recognize that there is no liberation without reconciliation. Sending a ton of love and gratitude to our whole community in Canada and around the world.
