Cheers to 2021 We may not be able to practice together in person right now and we aren’t letting that stop us! COMMIT TO SIT is a unique journey towards starting or deepening an already established meditation practice. This program is lead by one of our dear friend and teacher Frank Jude Boccio and will be hosted via zoom weekly so you can participate from anywhere! Meditation teaches us to slow down and pay attention. When we watch our ...tendency to grasp onto pleasure and push away pain, we see that we create our own suffering. There is a way to be present to challenging feelings and sensations without adding a layer of suffering to it. All proceeds benefit @trevorproject. @emilymorwen discovered yoga in 2000 and @chatterrungirl in 2007, both for their own reasons (hello anxiety, hello insomnia, hello weight loss) that eventually morphed into this deep love for the challenging (sweaty) practice, the connection, the grounding and the deep sense of peace. E...mily and Alice have combined over 20 years of teaching experience and are continually humbled and inspired by the practice and by teaching. Their backgrounds and interests in yoga range from working with students from 3 to 83, top performing endurance athletes, absolute self-described "non-yogis and long-time practitioners. **VIRTUAL studio ALERT** While we have limited IN-STUDIO classes at the moment, we are SO excited to have partnered with @modoyoga studios all over Ontario to offer you a complete and, in our opinion, awesome virtual studio! We have another intro to make! A big warm (and sweaty) welcome to Rachael, the newest member of our teaching team (@msrachaellewitzky). You may already know her as one of the friendliest people around. Rachael began practicing yoga as a means to find balance physically, mentally, and emotionally. Having participated in high-level competitive sports throughout her life, she was looking for a way to move mindfully and purposefully. After completing her first Modo class, she ...knew she found what she was looking for. Her practice taught her the importance of connecting movement and breath both on and off her mat. Yoga provided her with the strength and skills to pause, reflect, listen, strive, and breathe through discomfort. Having worked in the field of education for several years, Rachael is interested in exploring mindfulness in higher education and providing learners with accessible and inclusive experiences. Rachael decided to continue her yoga journey by completing the inaugural online @modoyoga Teacher Training program in June 2020 and immediately starting practice teaching online. Keep your eyes open for her on the schedule and say HI next time you are in.

She’s eager to meet you _________ Hello MYW family!... I just wanted to take a minute to pop in and introduce myselfHi! I’m Maddy. You may have seen me behind the desk recently if you’ve come into a class at the studio. I have just joined the Modo Yoga team as part of the desk staff. I started my own journey with yogayou guessed it2 months before the pandemic! I started out just practicing, quickly applied to become an ambassador, and I felt a pull on my heartstrings when I found out that MYW was looking to add to their team. MYW felt like home to me from the minute I set foot in the doorand that is my mission now, to make all of you feel like you’re at home from the minute you walk in! To everyone I have met thus far, and to everyone I cannot wait to meet soonI just wanted to say thank you for being so kind, welcoming, and wonderful to me!
