Like all good recipes in life and cooking, sometimes things just call for a rest... Pastry dough needs time to set, to become more elastic and prevent shrinking... Meats should be rested after cooking, so that the juices can redistribute and don't leak out when its been cut...... And sometimes, life has a funny way of telling you, that you too need a rest, so that you can redistribute your energy and creativity, and become a stronger person in the end. It's been a whirlwind 4 years, being the Chief Sales Person, HR Lady, Accountant, Chef, Event Planner and Dishwasher for MOD - but it's time for a little rest... I will never quite find the right words to express my gratitude to those who have showed their support, lent their time, and even just sent small kind words and thoughts my way, in support of this little dream I had. To my right-hand girl, Krista, I cant wait to see what your next chapter holds, and I can only hope I get to be a part of your dream, as much as you were a part of mine. Together, we have accomplished things I never knew we were possible of doing - feeding thousands of people for some of life's biggest events. We created food that I was always excited to share with others, and I like to think we made people and their tummys happy, if only for a little while... It's bittersweet, because I love good food, great hospitality, and sharing love and laughter around a table too much to ever have it not be a part of my life. Thank you again, for being a part of this dream, adventure, tribe, girl gang, and... my forever food Squad.
