The Canadian Medical Association officially declared May 1st as National Physicians’ Day which marks the birthday of Dr. Emily Stowe, the first female doctor to practice in Canada. The day allows for an opportunity to appreciate the dedicated and compassionate care that doctors provide, often putting patients ahead of themselves, their families and other commitments.
