When soap, dirt, body oils and skin cells to name a few collect on the tiles, grout and caulking it becomes a bio-mat. A bio-mat is a food source for mold growth and mold will grow steadily with a source of moisture, that moisture being the daily bathing area. The presence of a bio-mat indicates a lack of or ineffective cleaning methods in that area, the mold growth on the bio-mat indicates the bathing area isn’t drying in a timely manner. ... Clean the bathing area at regular intervals with a strong household cleaner, use the bathroom fan for at least one hour to reduce the humidity in the room. Re-caulk the shower/tub area with a mold and mildew resistant product. #mold #moldguy #themoldguy #bathroommold #moldy #moldybathroom #realestate #realestatelife #caledon #caledonproud #caledonlife @ Caledon, Ontario See more

Sous Vide testing today, I bought a cheap beef tenderloin, 2 really cheap pieces of meat (silver cross cut rib simmering steak). All the steaks have salt, pepper and patted with olive oil, put into freezer bags then into the sous vide water bath at 55.5 and water cooked. One of the cheap 1 steaks I covered with coarse kosher salt (1 per hour) for an hour, washed it off after the hour and you can see in the picture how porous it became, into the water bath for and hour 15. The beef tenderloin was so tender, perfect medium rare, the cheap cut was medium rare, chewy and no flavour, the cheap steak that had the salt treatment was tender and tasted better, not a nice steak but passable. I’m gonna enjoy this sous vide. #sousvide #steaks #moldguy #themoldguy #mold #caledonlife #caledon @thekitchentool @ Caledon, Ontario
