Without explicitly saying it, Mayor Shaun Collier wants to create an All Lives Matter committee rather than a Black Lives Matter committee. The fact that he wants to combine the two into an anti-racism committee indicates that he doesn’t truly understand the importance of the movement. If you’re going to make an effort, do it with the right motives and a true understanding of what we’ve set out to achieve. I must say, his delivery and dictatorship-like attitude on this to...pic was insulting. Racism exists in the Town of Ajax and I feel it’s his job as mayor to stand with the black community against racism.
