I know this touches many of our followers so I wanted to reach out and let you know your not alone. If you follow our stories I shard our story back in August. I’m very open about our little girl who received her angel wings on August 3, 2014. Our company name fly is to honour her as well as the angel wings on the monkey for our son. Our li...ttle girl is with our family every second, every minute of everyday. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. But many wonder, why spread awareness? Did you know that every single day, 6 babies are born still? Or that stillbirth is the most understudied issue in medicine today? There is so much silence on the topic, and it comes from both sides. Many parents don’t like to share that they had a loss. Not only is this a difficult thing to share, but what’s more difficult is talking about the thoughts and emotions involved. On the other side, many people don’t know what to say or feel uncomfortable discussing the loss with the parents. The psychological impact of losing a baby is profound. You’ve lost your child, but also your hopes and dreams for that child. There is a fear of social stigma, and this results in people keeping silent. Let’s break the silence. Let’s talk. If someone you love has gone through the heartbreak of a loss, simply acknowledging their loss is a huge support. International Wave of Light At 7pm local time on October 15 people all over the world will light candles in memory of their beloved children. Due to different time zones this will form a continuous wave of light going around the Earth. We invite you to participate in this activity and join a community of people remembering their babies.
