Ooops! I forgot I had ONE more sandwich off the menu I hadn’t tried yet..... Vegan Bagel with Fresh Basil, Sun dried tomato, garlic cream cheese & orange marmelade chilli! The others on focaccia are made with egg and goats cheese!! I will soon post the new full menu later today now that I have tried every single one to make sure they were delicious! During these difficult times with COVID-19, I am working really hard to keep all of my guests, family & community safe following strict cleaning & safety procedures as per Government protocols. It now takes me triple the time to clean the rooms. Due to the pandemic and trying to help stop the spread of COVID-19, I am not serving a hot breakfast at this time, and only a light continental. Since I have re-opened, I have been blessed to be fully booked every night and yet I a...m saddened to share that my reviews have been going down with people saying the rates are too high and they are not happy that I am not serving breakfast. I LOVE & MISS cooking for my guests. I would have hoped that my guests during this pandemic would be more understanding and appreciative of my efforts to keep them safe. It was very expensive to re-open the B&B to make it as safe as possible from cleaning products to signage to appliances to bedding to UV Light Bulbs and so on. As for my rates, I have not put them up like many others. I lowered them. Implementing a minimum two-night stay, would make my life much easier but I have not. I am the only employee of the B&B. I will continue to follow the advice from our Government & what feels right to me. I trust & hope others will understand the stress and the risk staff in hospitality are facing each day! Hello to all my upcoming guests & friends! I have decided to close the bnb for 2 weeks possibly longer in where i will determine how things go then after two weeks. I really didn’t need to close as of today as for the next few weeks all of my further bookings have cancelled anyway. Since many small businesses in our area are closing too I am making it official for Mon Petit Chum too! I pray that everyone stays safe and I look forward with my fellow Wakefield Businesses to... be back up and running again. The sun is shining and its a beautiful day here in Wakefield, Quebec. I am feeling there is hope today that in a few months, not weeks we will go back to normal. I wanted to share how my heart was touched last night. Two of my past regular guests Cathy & Bob sent me an email asking how we are and I told them we are healthy but i was stressed about how I am going to pay bills etc and right away she suggested buying a gift certificate for a Sheep&Sleep package for when the ...blacksheep is back up in running! She e-transferred me right away and suggested that maybe other past guests would like to do the same?
