We still had about 14" of "good ice" under 14" of bad on April 21st for a total of about 28-30" of total ice. Fast forward 9 days of great weather and we are winning the battle towards open water!

Well you wouldn't have known it on April 20th, but temperatures at the end of April have risen to the high sixties during the week. The power of the sun is incredible and I think our bay may have open water as soon as Monday. It will likely take another week for the whole lake to open. Here is a video from our little yard as I barbequed on April 20th.
