Montreal Central Lions Club

The Montreal Central Lions Club was chartered on September 14th 1922 and has been active in the Montreal region since. It is the first Lions Club in the province of Quebec. We created the Christmas Cake campaign in 1952. Since our foundation, we have donated over $2 million dollars that were distributed in the community. Our emphasis is the preservation of sight, diabetes detection and the promotion of school success. Nous avons créé la campagne de levée de fonds du Gâteau aux fruits en 1952. Depuis notre fondation, nous avons donné plus de $2 million de dollars qui ont été distribués dans la communauté. The virtual induction of a new member to the Montreal Central Lions Club..

In collaboration with the Office municipal d’habitation de Montréal, and LCC (Lower Canada College) The Montreal Central Lions Club celebrated St Valentine’s Day by giving the residents of St-Raymond a box of chocolate along with a greeting card designed and prepared by the LCC students. A big thank you to our partners for helping us in putting a smile on the faces on some of our vulnerable neighborhood population during this difficult time.

A thank you letter sent to the president of Montreal Central Lions Club for giving the gift of 25 Fruit cakes to our frontline healthcare workers at CLSC Benny Farm during Christmas holiday season. Another 25 cakes were also given to the workers at Neurology Lethbridge Center.

On Dec 21,2020 Raquel Verde Salinas was presented with a certificate of appreciation and special ladies pin to acknowledge her as our top cake seller for this year’s cake campaign. Raquel lives in Montreal but is a member of the pinamir Lions Club in Uruguay. When not back home in Uruguay, Raquel is very actively involved with the Montreal Central Lions Club.
