A great effort from CuNim members Patrick and Chester in what must have been challenging cold conditions. Well done.

Hard work pays off. Well done Lother Briones on your Solo flight last Saturday. Lother took advantage of the COVID19 situation and has been working hard with MSC instructors lead by CFI Jean Lortie to move his training forward. As an added bonus to Lother achievement he passed this week his Glider written exam and has the rest of the season to work on his necessary flights to become a fully licensed Canadian Glider Pilot. Well done Lother. We wish you all the best for the r...emainder of the season. Photo Credit Captain Jean Lortie

Congratulations to Toma Toida on achieving his FAI Silver Badge. Toma started working towards his Silver badge under the mentorship of MSC Pierre Gavillet during the winter months of 2018/2019 using the Condor Simulator. Over the next two seasons, Toma was able to develop his soaring and cross country skills. Last week for his FAI silver badge 50 Km distance, Toma traveled West to Lac Blanche and made it back to the MSC CNV4 field on the same flight. For his 5 hour flight, T...oma this week went North of the airfield just short of Mont Tremblant. Toma had already achieved the height gain of 1000 m necessary to complete the remaining tasks of the FAI Silver Badge back in 2018. Toma is one of the youngest MSC members to have achieved the FAI Silver badge, and we have every confidence that Toma will be able to keep up his progress and achieve his Gold Badge in the very near future.
