TRUE STORY. There are true stories that keep re-occurring in my life like this one. They become great lessons. This rainy day is a great reminder to be grateful for all the things I didn't know and I got to understand. ... Perhaps, this story will bring you light in an otherwise dull day <3 ********************************************************************** Just like many of you, I never enjoyed a rainy day...and here is why... When I was young, I spent a lot of time playing outdoors with my friends. We would play hide and seek, jump rope, football soccer, ride our bikes, climb tees and so much more, which meant that if it was raining nobody would go out. Fast forward many years and now in another country I get to have my second child. She is as original as they get. She loves rainy days...she dislikes sunny days and puzzled I often wondered why? Her response "Feels like the UK, it’s pretty. It’s not too bright. Smells nice". Later on I realized that the sun blinds her green eyes. It is hard for her to see clearly on sunny days! Who knew? :( Poor baby! So, her answers always remind me that there are so many other sides to a story! I go out in the rain with a totally new perspective. I love how the rain makes everything look much more intense... ironic that a grey and dull day can make things look brighter and rich! The textures seem to take a brand new life. Nobody likes to get wet, but if you dress for the weather, be it rain or snow or even a sunny day, then you will be able to appreciate that day that much more. Our lovely changing seasons! (now spring is a whole other ball of wax ugh!). Now I go out in search of the perfect drop.... and look for images inside those rain drops... like the last picture of our Trent Hills, Ontario town hall now home to Westben <3 See what a child can do?
