The American government wasn’t the only government who didn’t promote exercise and activity to radically decrease the severity of the symptoms of Covid 19. Activity, one of the keys to long term health. No fancy equipment required and you don’t even need a gym membership. What you do need is figuring out creative ways to fit it into the day, and one of the ways me and Stephanie have been doing it is walking to buy our groceries on the weekend. And there are a few benefits to this: 1. The activity you get walking to and from your neighborhood shops, and carrying something back. Our ancestors have been carrying things since we’ve ...been walking. It’s one of the best ways to improve our core and grip strength. Recently we’ve stopped doing this, cars make things easier, but not healthier. Carry more. 2. You’re forced to buy local, which is good not only for the local economy and your neighborhood, but you’re most likely buying seasonal. More nutrients in the food you eat, because there is less distance the food has to travel. Eat mostly things grown near you. 3. You’re forced to keep your groceries to a minimum, you don’t buy as much. It not only forces you to eat food when it’s fresh, but you also don’t throw food out because it’s gone bad. Good for your pocket book and the environment. And lastly, if it’s a beautiful day, you’re soaking up vitamin D and you’re getting in some fresh air. If I had a dollar for every time I heard that excuse, I’d be hanging out with Bezos on his Yacht. There is 24hrs in a day, subtract your work schedule, and let’s be generous, 10hrs away from the 24 and that equals 14. Now let’s look at your sleep, 8 solid hours, because we all know how important sleep is, so let’s subtract that from the 14 and we get 6hrs. From the 6 hours, let’s look at how long you take for each meal, let’s be generous and give you 1 hour per meal, which eq...uals to 3 hours left. The hour gives you enough time to cook and eat. We all have that favorite show on Netflix, and we all need to wind down at the end of the day, so let’s subtract an hour. So far we have two hours left. We make time for the things that are priority in life, and there is nothing more important than our health. What are you waiting for?! From the start Monvida was a place, where people from all walks of life can come together and train for a purpose. To build our bodies to be able to handle the things life throws at us. This virus is no exception. Building your mind and body, to be able to fight, not give up, and keep pushing forward, that is what we believe in. This was put up on the wall to remind us, that di...scomfort when faced, will push us to adapt, grow, and become better. That is why we cannot stop, with the gym doors closed temporarily due to covid 19, we will continue to push forward, virtually and remind everyone the belief of what Monvida was built on. Provide the knowledge, tools, and coaching to prepare our community to handle whatever Mother Nature throws at us.
