AN OPEN LETTER OF THANKS April 1995- April 2020 It might seem strange during these times to say we are celebrating an event when so many people are facing hardships, changes, uncertainty yet I do not want to forgo this time to acknowledge something very important.... To all past and present staff of Moonbean Coffee Company I am humbled that after 25 years, to be able to thank each and everyone of you who have passed through the doors of Moonbean. To some you might be referred to as staff or workers or team members or any other cliched form but to me you were all individuals with individual names personalities and characters. I have been around you a lot to teach a variety of things pertinent to the store as well as many externalities, but I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the amount that I have learned from you. Operating a 364 a day business is no small feat and takes a lot of energy, just like a big ship that can have a Captain, it would not go very far unless the whole crew contributes in their own way. Thank you everyone, my deepest gratitude for all the times you have stepped up to the plate and made incredible contributions. So many times I would see customers coming in, yes for great coffee, but even more for your smiles your warmth your generosity of spirit. Some of you might think that those qualities are inherently natural but I have to tell you that in no uncertain terms the honesty of caring cannot be taught, you all helped create a home away from home for so many people that unfortunately is really somewhat of anomaly in any large city. Thank you all and I hope that we are able to get back to more of normal environment as soon as possible so we can continue doing what we all do best.
