Share the Love We’ve been blessed here at Moonshine Mama’s. Though things have slowed down in our elixir factory, we are still working and our team wants to keep busy! We have been moved by so many stories of good people helping others. We have been thinking about what our purpose during this time. How are we to give back to this community we have built around us over these past 7 years while producing our elixirs and growing? What can a little elixir company do to help? Th...en we thought, Duh? It’s a pandemic. Do what we do best! Make our immune boosting elixirs for those most in need and deserving! So we are giving elixir away to praiseworthy folks and you get to choose who! We’re calling it the Share the Love Initiative. We can’t guarantee that we can give some away to everyone you nominate but we will produce a certain amount every week and draw the winners from your submissions. This is how it works: - Nominate anyone or group of people. - Tell us why you choose them in a paragraph or 2. - Email your nominations to [email protected] please put Share the Love in the info field in your email. You can nominate a friend, a co-worker who has gone above and beyond, a volunteer(s) that puts themselves on the line, a certain group of employees that are risking their lives to keep products/services available for us all, or someone in need. You can nominate your best friend, a stranger you’ve been inspired by, or yourself. We just need your story. We want to be able to send it anywhere in Canada. It’s like a Golden Mylk. Add a shot of our new Lemon Turmeric Golden Syrup in a mug, add some alternative milk (I use cashew milk), top cup up with boiled water and sprinkle with cinnamon (optional). This is Andy. He is a great Mama. He likes to pulverize gingers, turmerics and lemons into the base ingredients for our elixirs! He is modelling some of our new merch that you will find on our website soon while he juggles lemons. That is just the kind of guy he is!

Our Winter Warrior, now called Spiced Elderberry Turmeric Elixir, was our 3rd flavour we made! I was reading about the benefits of elderberries and thought I should try finding some and make an elixir with them as they go way back and have some real science behind them. Then, one day I was doing a demo at @thecommunityfarmstore in Duncan and I saw this beautiful woman behind a table of gorgeous purple elderberries! I met my elderberry farmer that day and our partnership h...as been strong ever since! The first year, we bought most of their elderberries and we ran out in February. The next year, we ran out in June. These days, with the expansions that they have made to the farm, they never run out of supply for us so we changed the name from Winter Warrior to Spiced Elderberry Turmeric Elixir because we wanted you to know that this elixir can be enjoyed anytime of the year! We are especially proud of this one because it was our first local farmer and it inspired us to add a whole series of Seasonal Elixirs to our lineup so that we could work with more local farmers. We choose partnerships with farmers practising progressive techniques of farming that include a positive impact on the planet, and that mostly means organic. The first time I saw @e3livecanada #bluemajik , my mind was blown! How could anything natural be this beautiful and this powerful? I had to take it to our R&D lab (ok, it was my kitchen counter!) and play with it by combining it with our elixirs.
