We're Singin' the Beddis Blues!!! Yes Folks, we are now selling the very last batch of Beddis Blue. Only this week, three people asked me if there would be Beddis Blue, one for for July, one for Father's Day, and one for the Queen's birthday. Well, the answer is only if you have it tucked away in your fridge. Some people freeze blue cheese so you could also do that. But you must come and get it in the next while because once it is gone, it is ALL GONE! Your best choices fo...r finding it are here at the farm store, Country Grocer, Natureworks and Northend Farm. So DON'T DELAY! If you want one last dance with Beddis Blue, the time is now. Best, Julia

MOONSTRUCK is having a sale! All our regular sized cheeses are $10.00 each from now until April 2nd so come on down and say hello to the new herd members and buy some cheese. The end of the blues is not so far off these days. We are on our last batch of Blossom and second last batch of Beddis Blue. We still have quite a lot of White Grace Tomme and Feta. Gently down the driveway because of the potholes. Do a jig out there - maybe that will help spring come!

Next week, our island food truck star will be featured on Food Network Canada. Chuck and Danny's Road Trip arrives at the B'Nurtured Stand and Brooke Winters treats them to her unique cooking style and also to a host of wonderful island food and farming including Moonstruck Cheese, Ambleside Flowers, Eagleridge Farm, SS Apple Co., SS Salt Co, SS Sprouts and SS Vinegar - whew! - that's a lot of Salt Springs. So tune in everyone on March 17th and raise a glass to great island food! Congratulations Brooke, you're a star and now the rest of the country will know it, too.

YES, WE STILL HAVE CHEESE! It’s not easy for cheese makers to retire. Our aging rooms are stuffed with lovely wheels of White Grace, Tomme d’Or, Feta, Beddis Blue, Blossom’s Blue and Blackberry Blue. We are counting on you, our loyal fans, to come find it at our farm store! We’re planning to return to Salt Spring’s Saturday Market in April until the stock is gone. Susan and I are very moved by all the wonderful comments, pictures and memories that have been flooding into our in box since we announced our retirement. Thanks to everyone. For those of you grieving for some last tastes of Moonstruck cheese, we do still have lots of hard cheese aging very nicely in the ripening rooms. Come on down and shop. We’re Hanging up our TOOLS!!! Big News! We are retiring. Moonstruck Organic Cheese will be closing down as soon as we empty the aging rooms. The cows have moved to Vale Organic Farms in Lumby north of Kelowna. We are staying on the farm. The ripening rooms are full so we will sell cheese until it's gone. Find us at the Moss Street Holiday Market this weekend and at the Salt Spring Saturday Market on the 17th. Lots of cheese in the store. Come and get it while it last...s! We want to say a thousand THANK YOU’S to all our friends. colleagues and customers. We could never have done it without you.
