We are full of surprises... another cast announcement! As the school secretary... the talented Tina-Marie Springham - Actor! Tina-Marie Springham is a Canadian-born actor, writer, voice-over artist, and former songwriter/singer, who’s currently based in Vancouver. Tina-Marie spent ten years living and working as a songwriter/singer and recording artist in Los Angeles, penning lyrics for songs that went on to become Top20 and Top10 Adult Contemporary singles, with several of... them (‘Simple Girl’, ‘Maybe’, ‘Let Go’) being placed in TV shows that are currently still in syndication around the world. Tina-Marie even scored a Top40 single on the USA Christian charts (’High In The Sky’). Working between L.A and Vancouver, Tina-Marie has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the North American independent film industry. As well as working consistently in film and TV, Tina-Marie has booked many voice-over roles in the animation, narration and corporate/commercial world including, ITIL (UK), Theravue (USA), BC Knowledge Network, Dr’s of BC Strategic Framework, PowHER TV/ShawTV #NotetoSelf, The Return (USA) and many more. Tina-Marie has also been highly competitive in the fitness and personal training industry. Competing in several different federations between 2011 and 2016 in the Figure & Fitness category, she quickly advanced from novice to National Level, by winning 12 first and second trophies and one Overall Title. Acting is now first priority for Tina-Marie. She continues to study her craft in between filming and has worked with some of the best teachers in the business including, Ben Ratner, Brian Markinson, Jeb Beach, Stuart Aikins, Noel Johansen, Alison Araya, Paul Weber, Linda Darlow, Vincent Chase and many more. Audiences can see Tina-Marie in the upcoming feature films ‘Broken’ (USA), & ’Blue Hour’ (CDN), and in the award winning short films ‘A Calling’, ‘Amphora’ ‘Header’. Others to watch for later in 2019 are ’Sterling Road’ (CDN), ‘Through Darkness, I See You’ (CDN), ‘Complete Reality’ (CDN). Tina-Marie is returning to her love for work behind the camera and getting involved in the Casting & Production and the creative side of things and has her sights set on writing & directing in 2020. She is getting set to launch her ‘Confidence Building’ workshops for actors and is also involved in a project centering around children’s books and animation. Last but certainly not least, we are excited to announce that the role of Heather will be played by Esabella Karena! 13-yr-old Esabella Anna Karena Strickland is an Award Winning Actress, Filmmaker, novel writer, artist, and influencer based out of Vancouver, BC. She is a young, raw talent who is a champion against child illiteracy and acts as an empowering figure against bullying through the arts. In 2018, Esabella starred in local indie short films Enlightenment, Things You... Take, and Arthur's Gift. She also co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in the film My Red Ball through the Young Moviemakers Program. My Red Ball addresses the theme of bullying and was written about Esabella’s own life experiences and has gone on to win awards at several film festivals. Esabella recently had the honour of being asked to be a co-host for the 53rd Annual Variety Show of Hearts Telethon, to support the cause that has supported her. She was also was invited to the 2019 Adobe Summit as an Adobe Insider, as the youngest influencer’s to attend the Las Vegas event. She was in the top 10 Social Media Engagement during the week of the Summit. Esabella has just finished co-writing her first Young Adult novel, "Then and There, Here," and recently signed with one of the top literary agencies in New York. Diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and dyslexia, she has had to work harder than many to get where she is. She uses her two superpowers, memorization and a high level of sensitivity toward others, including the characters she plays, as a technique. She has also trained herself with mindfulness and grounding techniques to cope with anxiety something she hopes to pass on to those she works with. We love working with Bella and can't wait to help her see Moontime through to fruition!

We are thrilled to announce that Jozi will be played by Arianna McGregor! Arianna is an actor, writer, and director from Vancouver. She studied acting at Gastown Actors' Studio and American Academy of Dramatic Arts NYC campus, which in retrospect was probably far more insane that she realized and would like a time-machine to relive that experience, thankyouverymuch. She's also been a long-time student of Shea Hampton and is grateful for the insight. Her IMDB will tell you all... sorts of fun things, but her latest acting credits include BH90210, Menendez: Blood Brothers, and No Tomorrow. She wrote, directed, and performed in her first short film Mr. Beerbelly in 2006, and followed up with The Tunnel for Crazy8s 2010, and several 24hour/48 hour film contest entries. She's a founding member of both SMAK! Productions (The Parties) and TerraMirabili Films (The Tunnel, Happiness is Temporary), and is writing her first feature right this very second. Right now. She sits on the Board of Directors for WIFTV, and is well into her fourth year as the Festival Programming Committee Chair for Vancouver International Women in Film Festival. Arianna is currently performing in The Melville Boys with Vagabond Players at the Bernie Legge Theatre in New Westminster, and is soon to be seen in the lyrical short Bellingham, her second project working with Director Brendan Prost. This is her second time working with Heather Perluzzo and she's SO excited to work with her again, along with the stellar cast and crew of Moontime. Arianna makes us laugh and cry all at the same time when she performs, and we can't wait for her do the same in Moontime!

We are excited to announce that Kyra will be played by Eden Summer Gilmore, a 13-year-old actress from Burnaby, BC! Eden is an award-winning actress who fell into the world of acting at the age of 4 when she was cast in multiple commercials. Years later her focus turned to film and tv which has earned her roles in Riverdale and Supernatural, a Lead Role in Hallmark's "It's Christmas, Eve" (where she got to sing on stage with Grammy Award Winner, LeAnn Rimes), and an Award ...winning Short Film "20 Minutes to Life" playing the lead role of Olivia, which earned her a Best Actress Award at the Young Entertainer Awards this year in Los Angeles. Eden is passionate about learning and growing her craft, and is fortunate to learn from some of the best in this industry. Eden enjoys singing and playing ukulele, which can be found on her YouTube Channel. She loves playing soccer and you can probably find her at the beach skimboarding or in the pool this summer. She has a cat named Cookie and is looking forward to getting a puppy this summer, too. She loves making funny videos on Tik Tok with her friends, glamping, loves Billie Eilish, and her 3 favourite words are Pizza, Bubble Tea, and Friends (tv show) all at the same time. For our next Cast Announcement, we have Melina Cermeno in the role of Cassidy! Melina Cermeno is a 12-year-old Latina actress, rapper, songwriter, and fashion designer. Born in Vancouver, BC and raised by her single Mother and extended family, she is a proud Canadian with cultural roots to Guatemala and with Caribbean Influences. Melina’s performing ambitions were borne out of a love for dance, and at 7-years-old she was bitten by the acting bug at the Theatre Under the St...ars. Her favourite musical is Hairspray, and the fashion and style of that era have heavily influenced Melina’s sense of style which is bright and colourful! Melina has several years of experience performing in front of live audiences, ranging from dancing performances such as ballet and ballroom dancing, to performing an original rap song (which she also composed) at an open house at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, in which she received a standing ovation. One of Melina’s proudest moments was when she was cast for a short play for the about Love Festival of Short Plays where she was presented with the Award for Best Actress. Recently she booked a role on the AMC hit show the Terror, and has been cast in several short films as well as in a commercial for a major cereal brand. She has embarked on various projects, such as starting her own YouTube channel Magnificentmini," where she records rap and Latin music, and designs and sews fashionable chique outfits. She always likes to look her best and is always dressed to impress. Melina is a proud Latina Canadian and hopes to bring more attention to Latino actors in the industry. We feel that Melina brings the perfect combination of sweet and sass to Cassidy, and we are proud to have her in the cast of Moontime!
