We’ve heard a lot about front line workers over the last year and rightly so. They are the people who have worked selflessly to keep us safe and they deserve to be recognized. At Moore Water Gardens, we have people who deserve to be recognized too. They work long hours as a team to help make what we do possible year after year so a hearty thank you goes out to them and anyone else who are the frontline workers working behind the scenes to make things happen during these challenging times. Well done!

With spring well underway, many pond lovers have been busy getting their water garden ready for another season. It’s still a little early for some plants thoughthis is what happens to water hyacinths after one frost. It’s a tropical plant and does not like the cold so we encourage you to delay ordering hyacinths or any other sensitive plants until the danger of frost has passed.
We have extended our hours for curb side pick up! Time slots are available Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and you are now free to browse through the outdoor display areas when you visit. Order online at www.moorewatergardens.com or by calling the office (519) 782 4052 We look forward to seeing you!

Herons are a majestic bird...until they are towering at the edge of your pond looking to snatch up one of your fish for breakfast! Floating plants like hyacinths and water lettuce provide some cover for your fish but it’s too early for tropical plants in your pond so we are curious to know what creative ways you’ve used to discourage this beautiful, sometimes menacing creature from raiding your pond. Feel free to comment and share what’s worked for you.
Moore Water Gardens is bursting with life and we are excited to have customers coming in to pick up their orders! Please drive carefully when you arrive to avoid the slow moving creatures that may be crossing the lane...they are on the move!

We are currently experiencing some problems with our website! We were hoping to have this resolved today but it looks as though it’s going to be some time before things get back up and running. We apologize the inconvenience. Have a safe and happy Easter weekend!

Happy Friday! Many of our customers are ahead of the game with pond maintenance but for those who haven’t got to it yet, this is a good article with simple tips and things to consider when getting your pond ready for the winter. Stay safe and have a great weekend!
We’ve been busy getting ready for the change in weather that’s to come and no doubt many of you have been preparing your ponds for the colder weather too. If you have lotus in your garden, you know what a great addition the seed pods make when creating an arrangement of various dried flowers or whatever it is you like to use. This week we harvested lotus pods from the ponds. Libby is dressed for the occasion with great focus and a steady hand! Happy Thanksgiving to all our valued customers from the staff here at Moore Water Gardens. Stay safe as you enjoy time spent with family and friends!
