As the dust settled after the Better Together Food Drive, we continued to receive a flood of donations bringing us to a new total of $62,788. A new employee of The Food Bank and a new comer to Moose Jaw, this was the first time I got to be apart of a fundraiser in this city, but not my first fundraiser. I have been apart of many over the past 20 years working for small not for profit organizations. Only once did I get to be apart of one that came close to their goal. So when... the team at Hillcrest Church had their planning meeting for this fundraiser, I was sure they were overshooting their goal of $50,000, I went so far as to suggest they cut their goal in half... ooops. After the fundraiser came to a close, someone from the meeting said to me, I knew you were in for a surprise, you don't know our city. They love to bless. I must apologize to you all. This fundraiser taught me that Moose Jaw is a caring city, Thank you to all who Support us! See more

A Huge Thank You to The City of Moose Jaw and their Staff, who raised $1315.00 and collected 637 lbs. of food in their support of the Better Together Food Drive. Each month the RRRC runs a Dress Down Friday fundraiser for a charity they choose. The staff have the option of wearing their casual, comfy attire on Friday by making a donation. In the month of October, the treasury Department chose to give the proceeds to the Food Bank and added a fun competition by inviting the other departments to join them by donating non-perishable food in addition to the funds raised. What a fantastic and creative way to give back to the community they already serve. Their generosity helps to provide food to our community’s most vulnerable!

AMAZING!!!!! The Better Together Food Drive was a great success, despite co-vid. Thank you to Hillcrest Church and their amazing team all of volunteers who organized The Better Together Food Drive and went door-to-door distributing flyers.
