What is a Foot Reflexology treatment like? Before the treatment we will discuss your health history and and any health concerns. Reflexology is safe and beneficial for almost everyone, and a treatment can help relieve pain and address a wide variety of conditions. During the treatment I will compress gently into reflexes on the feet, calming the body and activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which encourages healing throughout the body. Sometimes we encounter distur...bances or tender reflexes, and these can often relate to health concerns or issues the client has been experiencing. Releasing these disturbances helps encourage healthy, normal function in the organ related to the tender reflex. Overall, the treatment is very soothing and my clients often say they are ready to fall asleep part-way through! Reflexology can address a wide range of physical and mental health concerns; improve sleep quality; and encourage normal function in sluggish or distressed organs and body systems. It's a great way to practice self-care and reduce stress. Based on the clients' health concerns and my findings during the initial session, I am able to develop a customized treatment plan for future sessions, emphasizing areas of concern. A session is 60 minutes in duration. No special furniture is needed, just a reclining chair or couch and a few pillows. You can enjoy this healing therapy without leaving your home!
