Moose Crossing Band 29.06.2021

Well folks we are sad to say Moose Crossing has come to an end. It has been a good ride and your support has made many unforgettable memories for us. Perhaps some day there will be a Reunion in store. In the mean time after the band wrecking Covid-19 is over, be sure to support your local musicians. Many thanks from Mike, Byron, Bill, Dennis and Garry. Stay safe and Rock On!

Greetings from the Moose Crossing Band! As you might have guessed, the Moose Crossing Band is practicing social distancing procedures, as we hope the rest of you are. All our engagements have been cancelled due recent restrictions on public gatherings of over 50 people. It’s impossible to predict with certainty how long these emergency measures will be in place but what is certain, is that it is vital to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We urge you to reach out to ot...hers who are isolated and assist those who are shut-in and may require assistance in obtaining groceries or other necessities. Remember, we’re all in this together! We hope that everyone comes through this public health crisis safely and that we can get back together as soon as possible to enjoy the music that changed the world. Best wishes from Garry, Byron, Dennis, Mike, and Bill! See more

Happy to have been asked to ring in the New Year at the Orillia District Agricultural Society (ODAS) New Year’s Eve Celebration again. Unfortunately, inclement weather kept some revellers at home but the dance floor was comfortably full much of the time. Thank you for your kind comments! Best wishes to all for a happy, productive and safe 2020 from Byron, Mike, Bill, Dennis and Garry, the Moose Crossing Band. Some of us are heading south for some well-deserved beach time so you may not see much of us until March. Happy New Year, everyone!!

Thursday, Dec 19th, 2019, the Moose Crossing Band played at the Chippewas of Rama First Nation Seniors’ Christmas Party at the Silver Nightingale Ballroom at Casino Rama. It’s a beautiful venue with great acoustics. The event was well-attended and a good time was had by all. Thank you for letting us be part of your event in honour of your Band Elders. Merry Christmas to all!

The not great weather and road conditions Saturday night kept the crowd small at the Army Navy Air Force Veterans’ Club in Orillia but those who came out, danced till the bitter end. It was our debut performance as a 5-piece group now that we’ve been joined by Dennis Rizzo on keyboards and harmonica. Welcome to the group, Dennis! We even got to try out some of our Christmas tunes we’ve been practicing. Thanks for having us!

Moose Crossing Band had another successful engagement at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 147, Barrie. The regular crowd of dancers was on the floor the entire evening. We had tons of fun performing for you and we look forward to coming back anytime.
