Thanks to the amazing crew who showed up for the Work Bee last week!! Work completed: - Citronella fully raked - 600m of Perimeter Trail 2020 raked... - Little Mac Blue trail raked with drainage work - Blowdown cleared on Blue and Black Tough looking at how dry it was a week ago! Lets give the freshly-built trails some space after all day rains and ride the hard-packed ones for now. First MORATA youth and group ride next Thursday!

We’re stoked to announce the first 600m of the Mackenzie Perimeter Trail is now OPEN to walkers and riders! The trail is a thing of beauty thanks to the amazing crew of Hero Dirt and we’re thrilled to see this second section progressing so quickly. Entrance is off Centennial Rd between McLeod Dr and Tutu Ave or Cicada Rd down a trail behind the golf course sign. ... Some steep sections to be aware of if on bike! Yay to new trails and dry trails! Enjoy Mackenzie!

The first trail maintenance night of the year happens this Thursday at 6pm! We’ll be working on multiple trails around town so the meet-up spots are Little Mac or the end of McIntyre Rd. Whatever works best for you! It will be heavy on the raking so please bring a rake if you have one. ... We’re days away from rideable trails so let’s get em’ ready! Hope to see you there!

Four waterfalls near Mackenzie are lonely after a long winter and want you to visit! Take part in our virtual event Chasing Waterfalls from May 15-June 15 and be entered to win some fresh MORATA merch! How to take part: ... 1) Hike to the listed falls and take a pic with the MORATA sign posted there. 2) Post pics on social media and tag #chasingwaterfalls and MORATA. 3) Each post = your name in the prize draw Trail pamphlets and maps will be available soon. Work is underway again this year on a new section of the perimeter trail that will soon surround Mackenzie. We are excited to be establishing a beautiful trail that will be easily accessed by everyone in town. Please avoid the construction site until we are able to open the trail.
