"Increasing cases of COVID-19 in local communities are resulting in more people arriving at the emergency department with COVID symptoms, and more people requiring admission into the hospital, according to Dr. Denis Fortier, VP for health services in Southern Health. The constituency that Boundary Trails serves has seen some of the lowest numbers of vaccinations in the province, which could be a factor in the high caseloads. Dr. Fortier urges people to get vaccinated and help shut down the virus as quickly as possible before it does even more damage."
