40 Cloves of Garlic Chicken for dinner. Pasture raised chicken, organic garlic and herbs. This took about 15 minutes to put together and it was set it and forget it for an hour. So good. Do you know where your food comes from. Drop us a line we can show you.

Chickens are out and about - they are not allowed to knock on the front door anymore because well it is kind of annoying. I busted this bunch trying to pretend like nothing was going on while I was out. The one at the bottom of the steps looks particularly guilty standing on the stair gate.

These two handsome fellas, Tom and Henry, are happy the snow is melting. Soon time to go back out on pasture.

Eggs for sale - $5.00/dozen Provided by happy healthy pasture raised hens. Can deliver within a reasonable distance. Our ladies have a huge coop and freedom to roam. They are moved to fresh pastures frequently (even in winter they are fully free to roam). No dirty confined chicken runs or small coops here. They eat bugs and grass and have access to lots of fresh water and free choice of layer ration if they like. We are not certified organic but we do raise our animals the old fashioned way. We believe in treating our animals respectfully and letting them have freedom.

This is Momma the Turkey. We call her Momma because she looks after all of the chickens, whether they want her to or not. She is looking for farmer Todd, she loves him, so much so that she waits for him to pick her up and put her in the coop every night.

Today in the kitchen we are making Boozy Aged Eggnog with our farm fresh pasture raised eggs. This recipe needs 3 weeks in a cool dark place to mellow out. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and a new holiday tradition on the farm. Stay tuned for the recipe and how-to video.

Some wild visitors this evening during the storm. The local wild turkeys stopped by to check out their new neighbours. Our Turkey babies were tucked safely away from the weather in a chicken tractor and weren't able to greet their guests but the Chickens didn't mind them stopping by unannounced to check out the new coop. They are on their way now to take a look at the new pastures.

Turkey - Someone is curious about work today. Too chilly in the coop and with the short supply of equipment, these guys get to live the good life inside the house for a few days.
