So, I took a few days off from social media over the Thanksgiving weekend (something I think we all need to do more often) to spend time with my family, and be... in nature when the weather permitted! It reminded me how lucky we are, how many things we have to be thankful for, living in Canada: good government, good health care, people who are generally caring and civil to one another, . . . and, the incredible natural beauty throughout our country! I'm especially thankful in our little corner of northwestern Ontario for so many inspiring nature spaces in which to relax, regenerate and de-stress!! This amazing hike is less than an hour from our door: the Finger Point Trail at Pigeon River Provincial Park. That leaf-covered mound in the distance of the 5th photo is the hill that we hiked up, for the views of Pigeon Bay and Little Pigeon Bay in the first & later photos. I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving, and a chance to reflect on and enjoy all you are lucky to have in your lives. Stay safe & healthy, and be gentle to one another!! Shannon
